Last night after midnight, I found myself taking a walk north on Dovercourt Road, starting at College Street and heading up to Dupont Street at home. It took a half-hour in the light rain, giving me plenty of time to take in the street as it changed. The night, I was reminded, can be colourful, even if the colours are muted.
