rfmcdonaldI'm embarrassed that I missed gareth_wilson, another fellow SHWIer. He has a variety of interesting posts up on a collection of future- and science fiction-related topics. Particular standouts include Star Trek done right (what if Earth really is the first planetary civilization to develop FTL) and a critical note on space colony demographics (you're not going to get Third World demographic pyramids in the 21st century, even if you go the Romanian orphanage route of the late detested Ceaucescu).
