I've a post up on the topic of Canada's relatively low fertility rates up at Demography Matters. I suggest that the intensity of social change in Canada since the Second World War, at least compared to the experiences of other economically developed Anglophone and Francophone societies, is responsible for Canada's low fertility relative to these countries that are its peers.
