The first time I passed by Ethiopian House Restaurant (4 Irwin Avenue) this month, I was in transit with the boyfriend and stopped only to take note of its existence. The second time, I met up with
mawombat there but couldn't afford to try anything. The third time this afternoon, I decided to stop, sit down, and eat something. I ordered their meat and vegetable lunch special with a coffee, sat down on the patio, and enjoyed a rather nice meal in the open air as Ethiopian instrumental music played in the background. The service was a bit slow, but the food was good--flavourful, and decently-sized servings--and the $C10.50 price plus tip can't be beat.
