18 months ago--in March of 2000--I weighed 35 pounds heavier than I do now. I've lost all that amount of weight, have managed to keep off all that amount of weight, and see no reason why I shouldn't be able to keep this weight off, given my restrained diet and moderate exercise.
My successful weight loss might not be as important as my social development, or my educational success, but it's still important. I feel much better than I did formerly, I look much better than I did formerly--I feel better-prepared to cope with the outside world, and my weight loss has bee nicen this way.
Eh, to be superficial. Must be nice.
