Yesterday, for the first time so far this winter season, it felt like winter, with a chill wind that freezes a pedestrian's exposed skin area within minutes and leaves said pedestrian, after finding refuge in someplace non-cold, to wait minutes for the skin cells to thaw out and the blood to decongeal.

Yes, I am a Canadian, but some advance warning would have been nice.

I came an hour ago from a nice chat with talktooloose, talking over coffee at a Timothy's by the St. Clair TTC about such subjects as the various difficulties of artistic creativity, the future of the Earth given humanity's growing footprint on the natural environment, and career aspirations. I always emerge from these chats refreshed and energized.
