[NON BLOG] Non-Bloggish Zaniness

Yesterday was a rather fine day. The afternoon was spent at Hanlan's Point Beach in the Toronto Islands with the boyfriend. Surprisingly, this was the first time in three years that I'd ever been on a beach, to swim and to suntan and everything. Yes, I swam, a bit; in case you're curious, the temperature of Lake Ontario reminded me that, yes, this is a body of water by runoff from the chill forested slopes of the Canadian Shield. Oh Canada, indeed.

Later, after dinner, I had the unmitigated pleasure of meeting up with mawombat, fresh from her temporary base in Montréal, and various other interesting people. We eventually got to El Convento Rico (750 College Street West). The conversation was good; the nightclubbing, excellent.
