General Update

Sunday evening, I had dinner with nire at the Town & Country. Among other things, we talked about the production and my role as stage manager. It should be good; now, if only to know when the next rehearsal will be.
Monday, I was off, and I watched Queen of the Damned and The Matrix. The latter film worked quite well, of course; it helped explicate The Matrix Reloaded, and was very good in itself. Queen of the Damned was less good: parts of it worked well within themselves, but the film suffered from a lack of coherence. Where was Akasha in the first half of the film? Why did Jesse want to become a vampire? Who the hell is Lestat? I also slept until the early afternoon; that's it.
Tuesday, I watched episodes 6 and 7 of Carl Sagan's Cosmos series. Yes, he was a brilliant man; we're all poorer without him. And again, I slept until the early afternoon.
Wednesday is marked mainly by it being a day of long working hours, from 8:30 am to 9 o'clock in the evening. The library's looking quite good, though, and I calculate that I'll make something like $134.40 today, so I'm happy.
And that's it.
