Right now, I'm trying to work on my posture, on standing straight and avoiding slumping. I'll be Merriman in the upcoming performances of The Importance of Being Earnest, and as a late Victorian butler I should have better posture. I also want, though, to have a good physical appearance in time for Queen's: healthy body, healthy mind.

I'm also backing up old 3 1/2 inch disks of mine from high school, copying the files on them to a single CD (with roughly 50000% greater capacity than a single disk). I plan on getting rid of the old ones; time to bring in the new.

I finished The Lord of the Rings last night. It is a wonderful trilogy, and I'll have to read other Tolkien Middle Earth books if I've the time sometime in the next year. One thing that impresses me still is the aura of despair, the awareness of the transience of even the greatest glories, that permeates the book. We who were great must now depart for the West, bid us well as we leave as we bid you well for your future alone.
