rfmcdonaldI've gotten a lot of writing done on Heidelsheimat. In the 2300AD setting, Heidelsheimat is a world in the Rho Eridani planetary system settled by several powers, chief among which are the Bavarians. When Germany is unified in a war against France, the Bavarian colonists refused to follow suit and remained Bavarian. It's a completely non-renumerative project, but it's fun.
I had a good lunch with Steve at the Formosa Tea House today, talking about questions of Japanese historical origins, among other topics. It was fun, and a good way to break up a bit of a flat day at work. Beforehand, I met Meghan McCarthy, an old friend of mine. We'll do lunch before we go. I like doing lunch.
