The West, even British Columbia, voted overwhemingly for Conservatives (henceforth known as "Fascists"). Quebec tossed out the Liberals (the "Crooks") in favour of the nationalist-separatist Bloc Quebecois (the "Traitors"), while Ontario and Atlantic Canada propped up a substantial Liberal minority government, which will have to depend on the support of the New Democratic Party (the "Commies"), who found virtually no support outside heavily left-wing urban areas. The final total, barring recounts or a mistake on the part of yours truly, was: Crooks 135, Fascists 99, Traitors 54, Commies 19, and one independent, who is nominally a Fascist. A majority government requires 155 seats in the House, so the combined Crook-Commie coalition will still fall short. They'll have to depend on turncoat Traitor and Fascist MPs to pass bills. All of this means, dear voters, that we'll have to head back to the polls in a very short time, probably next summer. All I can say is that I'm glad I'm taking off for another country in a few months, because my life will be made considerably easier by voting without the irritation of another election campaign.

So: the ruling party steals billions of dollars from the taxpayers, revealing itself to be one of the most corrupt governments in our history,
yet still retains a plurality of seats because the largest opposition party tolerates a bunch of wingnuts in its ranks who want to roll back all of our social advances, but that party still cannot break into one of our country's two crucial provinces because the separatist party is, somehow, still around and worthy of serious consideration, while the socialist party holds the balance of power in the House, but not enough to actually have a confident majority, all because the lowest number of people voted in our country's history.

Read the whole thing. Better yet, read his entire journal--it's good.
