rfmcdonaldCBC, among other news agencies, reports that Prince Charles has, after almost than 35 years, finally married his beloved Camilla. I don't begrudge him this, though I do wish that he had started with Camilla rather take bad advice and marry and mislead an unhappy young Diana Spencer.
There is one thing that I'm concerned about. Might it be possible that, once the couple get settled in, they might find that their attraction was not based on profound romantic love, but rather, on the frisson of an illicit and unpopular affair? It would be very ironic if they found this only only after their marriage. It would also be very tragic.
My best wishes to the couple. I just hope that my fears are completely unfounded in fact.
