[BRIEF NOTE] An African Renaissance?

I picked up a copy of the African Business' June 2005 issue today. Featuring prominently in the middle of this interesting newsmagazine, introduced by the editorial staff, is a special advertising special funded by the Zimbabwean government in order to celebrate that country's Silver Jubilee. Without risk of anything like a critical editorial comment, you can discover that the MDC is a foreign puppets, the land confiscations are necessary prerequisites for growth, Mao's revolution was necessary for China to survive, et cetera.

What are the chances of an African Renaissance with press coverage like this?
