Edward Jow-Ching Tu's paper "Patterns of Lowest-Low Fertility in Hong Kong", originally taken from the Journal of Population and Social Security, explores the rapid aging and incipient population decline in Hong Kong, a city-state with perhaps the lower net reproduction rate in the world. If not for immigration from mainland China and elsewhere, Hong Kong's population might already be shrinking.
