Imagine that, as part of a global campaign of terror, one day al-Qaeda agents bombed Union Station at rush hour, with a death toll comparable to that inflicted by the Madrid bombings of two years ago.

How quickly, I wonder, would communal relations deteriorate? Toronto is famed for its peaceful multiculturalism, but peace requires certain material conditions. Hyperterrorism would quickly erode these. Toronto the good? I hae ma doots.
