[LINK] 419 fraud on the stage

Jonathan Edelstein, long interested in the phenomenon of 419 fraud, now notes (via Ha'aretz) that it has made the stage thanks to the efforts of anti-spam activist Dean Cameron.

Cameron started to forward the correspondence to some of his friends, who were enthusiastic. "When in one of his e-mails the Nigerian sent his regards to the two cats, I screamed with delight," he laughs. At this stage he realized that he had a comic treasure in hand and founded the Net site spamscamscam.com, which documents the correspondence. A year later he had in hand a play that ran in Los Angeles and in August of this year it was performed for the second year running at the Edinburgh Festival, where it won high praise from the critics.
