acrabtree and eveglass, among others. They began to chat about the 1987 movie The Princess Bride, and were taken quite aback when I confessed my near-complete ignorance of the movie and its source book. Inigo Montoya sounds vaguely familiar to me, now after a day to think about it, but their other references completely passed me.
They're probably entirely justified in feeling shocked at my ignorance of some of the basic cultural codes of geekdom. I so need to be caught up on the ways of my people.
