[URBAN NOTE] Neighbourhood graffiti

I live rather close to Dufferin Street, the corridor that--among other things--separates Parkdale proper from Parkdale East. Just west of me is the point where Dufferin Street is cut off at Queen Street West. To the north of this intersection above Peel Street is a row of warehouses, built in prick and painted white. On the street-facing side of one of these warehouses, someone had spraypainted a slogan in black.

PARKDALE IS GAY

Below that, someone had responded, spraypainting again but this time in blue highlighted by orange.

PARKDALE IS BULLDYKE

At some point in the past week someone underlined the two statements in red spray paint.

My neighbourhood has character. I'm not sure if I like this character wholeheartedly, or if I should.
