pauldrye linked a couple of days ago to a map of the post-Second World War world as imagined by unknown American officials in 1941-1942. The map's legend claims that this map would reflect a truly just world order. In actual fact, any plan that would see the creation of Polish, Yugoslavian, Iranian, and Manchurian Soviet republics, the imposition of strict population control measures on the defeated populations of the Axis powers, and the arbitrary creation of continental federations outside of the new Soviet-dominated Eurasia would surely be a prelude to Nineteen Eighty-Four.
