[URBAN NOTE] Warm weather

Yesterday in Toronto, there had been both a heat alert and a smog alert. It was a thick, hot and muggy day. Even very early yesterday morning, walking home from a Toronto production of Tony Kushner's prescient play Homebody/Kabul that I caught with talktooloose, painglass, and Jerry, I saw the haze rise from the streets to force the streetlights' point-source lights to diffuse, to radiate star-like under the monotonously black sky.
