[URBAN NOTE] Writing in the Margins

Judging by the well-attended readings, yesterday's Xtra-sponsored queer literary festival Writing in the Margins was a successful, although I wonder why Church Street south and north of Wellesley was also closed off when there was absolutely nothing on Church Street north of Wellesley. I went especially for Nalo Hopkinson's reading from her new novel, The New Moon's Arms, and was pleased to leave with a copy of her earlier The Salt Roads. Fun was certainly had.
