[REVIEW] The Sandman
Sep. 1st, 2007 07:10 pmHaving just finished reading the ten volumes of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman, I can say with some confidence that it's a grandly energetic, occasionally brilliant, but sprawling mess of a universe. It was difficult to get a bead on the Endless; I would have liked more Rose Walker; the wicked brilliance of A Game of You and The Kindly Ones was too often absent from most of the remainder of the series. Still, and despite all that, it was a glorious read.
