[URBAN NOTE] Thanksgiving in Toronto
Oct. 8th, 2007 11:51 pmThanks to La NiƱa, today was Toronto's hottest Thanksgiving on record, with a peak temperature of 30 degrees Celsius accompanied by high humidity. Trudging about town in the more habitable late afternoon in shorts and sandals, I wondered if climate change might make this normal weather for Ontario in October. Part of me hopes so; it certainly makes waiting until the late evening to feed squirrels unshelled peanuts at Allan Gardens more comfortable.
