Via my Livejournal friends list I learned of Strange Maps' "Transit Map of the World's Transit Systems". This schematic map portrays the world where all of the cities in the world with underground transit systems were linked together, as feorag and angel80 point out in the comments in the style of London Metropolitan maps. (It's beautiful.) If only our world was one was like that one, where Buenos Aires and Auckland and Sendai were easily accessible from Toronto with just a few transfers from line to line.
