Over at Demography Matters I've got a post up on the subject of how the recent famous post-Soviet republic of Georgia's dire economic situations are combining with a dire situation population-wise--not only are fewer people being born in Georgia than ever before, but more people have been leaving Georgia than ever before for the past two decades--to create a messy and probably inescapable future for that South Caucasus country.
