rfmcdonaldI saw Michael Ignatieff this afternoon, talking and walking with trhree other people as they walked north on Avenue Road just north of the Church of the Redeemer. I was surprised by his height.
Before his selection and re-election as the Member of Parliament for the riding of Etobicoke-Lakeshore, Ignatieff was famous as a public intellectual: This long profile by The Globe and Mail's Michael Valpy is among the best online sources out there on his life.
Ignatieff also has hopes to become the next Liberal Party leader, in the wake of the recent catastrophes under Stéphane Dion. I know who I'd pick.
