- Peter Rukavina points out that despite the recent addition of 21 new MPs to Ontario's quota at the federal parliament, Ontario--the rest of Canada, really--is drastically unrepresented next to Prince Edward Island, which has kept four seats since the 1870s even though PEI's population has grown by 44% while Canada\s has grown 750%.
- Paul Goble suggests that the growing divergences betrween Russian and Georgians, measured in terms of political opinions, travel histories, and even histories of personal interaction, are widening.
