Last Friday the 10th, I was talking a rather enjoyable extended walk west on Queen and up on Lansdowne and then Dufferin when, at the intersection of Bloor and Lansdowne, we noticed a smoke plume. We each took pictures--Andrew's picture and commentary here--and later found out that there was a nasty fire at 804 Bloor Street West. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
The next morning, as I was going to work, I noticed another smoke plume, this one seeming to be quite near. True enough, I found out that there was a fire in a nearby machine shop that caused $400 000 in damages and led the fire department to block off the area on account of smoke. Thankfully, again, no one was hurt.
If this keeps up I'm going to have to apologize for my pyrokinesis.
