[PHOTO] Spadina and College
May. 2nd, 2009 02:28 pmWhile I was at the intersection of Spadina Avenue and College Street a week or so ago, I took some photos. The below was taken looking north at the intersection of Spadina and College, in front of the Hotel Waverly, below is a picture of the typical, unadorned streetcars that form the heart of the Toronto streetcar system.
Below this is a picture of a TTC streetcar covered in an ad for Stonefield Organic Yogourt. This sort of thing is relatively common.
At the intersection of Toronto's Spadina and College, you can look south and see Chinatown and condo buildings in the distance.
1 Spadina Crescent, a University of Toronto building that served as a theological college, a military hospital, and a pharmaceutical research centre, before serving as the home of the university's newspaper and Fine Arts department as well as the Ontario branch of the Eye Bank of Canada, is located directly north of this intersection.
