rfmcdonaldI was looking at Ikram Saeed's blogspot when I noticed rather interesting statistics: Briefly put, "[p]opular support for a US-led invasion of Iraq is no higher in France or Germany than in most of Rumsfeldian 'New Europe'."
Briefly put, the members of the "Vilnius 10" are, as has been observed elsewhere, desperate to join NATO; public opinion in Britain and Spain and Italy is scarcely more supportive of the United States; and at least in the Czech Republic, Havel's signature doesn't reflect government policy.
