I voted in the referendum on TA Unionization at Queen's, and I voted in favour, of course; the number of registered voters is reportedly low, and a union would be nice. Coffee hour followed shortly after. For most of it, we coffee-drinkers shared the fourth-floor lounge with some undergraduates selling departmental shirts, but there was a nice cross-fertilization going on--I myself bought two T-shirts and a nice rugby shirt. Coffee hour as a whole went nicely, not only because I learned there to my intense surprise that a certain prominent figure in the university has used his status to influence unfairly a certain ethnoreligious group of note against unionization. If the unionization drive fails, the resulting story in the Queen's Journal will be interesting.

I then went to the Health Centre for my appointment. The doctor examined my eyes again, and didn't see anything wrong. The deterioration in vision she suggested is a likely consequence of the pressures applied to my eyeballs by the infections. She suggested that if it continues, then I should come to the health centre next week. Just in case, I'll go to the emergency ward at Hotel Dieu Hospital to get my eyes checked out by an optometrist over the weekend.
