[BRIEF NOTE] Does anyone know when Jupiter became a star?

In Arthur C. Clarke's 2010, the monoliths wrought their magic and stellified Jupiter. Has anyone ever calculated, based on orbital trajectories and the like, when in 2010 this happened? Or is there textual evidence in the book as to the date?
