So, sports.

Growing up, I fit one stereotype and another in being quite uninterested in sports, both as a spectator and a participant. It just didn't appeal, for so many reasons.

Things changed over the past decade. Extensive snowshoeing helped me lose sixty pounds earlier in the decade, while biking--intermittantly, to a degree; the past summer lacked cycling for personal reasons--has been fairly popular with me, followed by walks. And as for spectator sports? Olympic hockey, certainly, back in the day; soccer, theoretically; football, most likely. And there's always a possibility of trying out rugby ...

And you? What's your relationship with sports, as spectator or participant or other? When did it start? Why?

Discuss.
