Pleasantness
Apr. 11th, 2003 06:16 pmWhen I was leaving the Confederation Centre Public Library at the end of the day's wiork at 5 o'clock, who did I run into outside the building on Victoria Row but Todd MacLean of PEI's famous band The Rude Mechanicals. We talked for a bit--apparently they couldn't cross the border to do a gig and so they decided to travel over to Prince Edward Island. Matt McQuaid came out and joined us.
Unfortunately, they won't be putting on any shows in Toronto while I'm there--they mentioned the 16th of April and the 14th of May. Apparently Todd works at Toronto's Second City improv theater, and he can arrange for me to get a comp ticket. Excellent.
(Oh, and I've finalized the reservation for Downtown Kingston B&B. Life is good, if expensive.)
