I've a post up at History and Futility reacting to Freeman Dyson's recent review essay "How We Know", an essay reviewing James Gleick's latest that examines information theory. There's too much information to be fully understood, but there's so much information that motivated people can build powerful descriptive databases--and don't forget motivated individual systematizers!
