rfmcdonaldI went to the Gray Region shop again and bought a final Traveller sourcebook, Survival Margin: Gateway to the New Era. The New Era was the most disliked version of the original Traveller universe, having extended the civil war that divided the Third Imperium (mentioned in an earlier post) to the point of bringing a new dark age, and then unleashing a race of sentient computer virii which hate life and go about to kill most everyone. It's interesting to read the history of the self-destruction of a vast civilization, even if (thankfully) fictional.
I made the previous updates to my livejournal from an Internet cafe. When I was done, I bought interesting Korean-made shrimp crackers, shapedf like french fries, with the texture of crackers, adn with the taste of shrimp powder. Interesting.
It was fun to spend time with Craig today at the Timothy's at Church and Alexander, just spending time and drinking coffee, and talking. I like doing that; I need to do more of that when I come back.
I've decided to come back early to the hostel, and just rest. It should be fun, I guess.
Definitely looking forward to spending more time with Leslie tomorrow!
