The Village Rainbow restaurant on the northeastern corner of Church and Maitland (477 Church Street), as I noted somewhat waspishly back in 2005, isn't famous because of its perfectly adequate if not outstanding food. It has been successful for so long because of the wonderful view of the dynamic street, from the restaurant's windows and its patios. The world is illustrated for the eater here.
