rfmcdonaldIn a very different world, when I visited the United Nations Headquarters on the shores of the East River, I would have been paying a visit to the seat of global governance. (New York City as the planetary capital?)
That world, however, is not our world.
The photos I took of the three most visually prominent buildings in the complex--from top to bottom here, the General Assembly building, the Secretariat, and the Dag Hammarskjöld Library--illustrate a less imaginatively spectacular, but still useful, organization.
