Aug. 4th, 2012 06:12 pmArriving in Ottawa to visit friends for the long weekend, I decided to take advantage of my early morning arrival to march about the downtown, walking north up Bank Street towards Parliament Hill.
The intersection of Bank and Wellington streets in downtown Ottawa marks the western perimeter of Parliament Hill.

The West Block is one of the office complexes built into Parlament Hill.

Behold the Centre Block, the building that houses Canada's Parliament.

Behold the Centre Block together with the Centennial Flame, curiously not lit at 7:30 in the morning on a Saturday.

The Centennial Flame, I've found out, is not an eternal flame.

The East Block is the third and final major building on Parliament Hill.
