More work in the children's library. Rewinding audiotapes has never paid so well.
Last night, I couldn't get to sleep until 4 o'clock, so I read Tolkein's The Hobbit. The volume is part of a four-book boxed set published by Collins including The Hobbit and The Lord of the Ring trilogy. It's a good book--Tolkein was a good writer, the story is interesting, and the way that it explains the backstory of The Lord of the Ring movies is highly convenient. I'd resolved to read the books in sequence, as the movies come out. So, The Fellowship of the Ring next for me. Let's see if I get further this time than when I was 12.
And in response to a challenge from the incomparable epanastatis, I've friended talktooloose. Hi!
