Jul. 16th, 2003 04:15 pm- Yesterday, I was enlisted to play chess at the library, as a player for the Children's Room's Chess Club. I'm not a good chess player by any means--I won only one game, that by chance--but it's fun. I should do more of this.
- I received the official notification of my scholarship to Queen's yesterday evening. It is divided into three parts, one for each semester (fall, winter, spring). This is a bit of a problem, since I'd intended to return home after winter semester was over, perhaps to work.
- As today developed, however, it turned out it won't necessarily be that much of a problem. I wondered about getting a leave of absence from my current well-paying job at the library, allowing me to return. It turns out that since my position is a casual one, not a permanent one, that's unlikely, though I'm certainly welcome to apply again.
- The performance dates for The Importance of Being Earnest are fast approaching. I'm nervous.
