Work went very nicely today, as my colleagues treated my and my colleague Jocelyn to a breakfast at the local Cora's restaurant. (We're both leaving, me for grad school in Ontario, her for marriage and education in Nova Scotia.) The food is excellent; I'll have to go there again, that or see if Kingston has one.

Work was fun, mainly centred around using an old typewriter to expand the PEI card catalogue database, inserting links and subject headings. Typewriters are strangely fun, I think; they're nicely retro, when they work and when you can choose not to use them.

I saw Joel Meggs while I was on break at Café Diem, buying a tea. He's doing well, preparing to go back to UNB for his second year of law school. He counselled me against following him. I think that I should heed Joel's advice.

I'll read Steven Saylor's latest Gordianus the Finder novel, A Mist of Prophecies tonight, before going to do so more writing on Heidelsheimat and Freihafen and catching up on E-mails.

Oh, and I've got the weekend off owing to renovations. I agreed to come in in the mornings to do book drops, true, but that will be easy.
