Still Four-Eyes
Aug. 13th, 2003 09:00 pmAs part of my on-going plan to tidy up all possible medical issues before I leave, I stopped by the local eye-glasses shop. I was considering getting one pair of glasses and one pair of contact lenses. However, when experimentation proved that my light-related blink reflex extends to anyone trying to put anything in my eyes, the contact lenses were discounted. (That, or I get sedated every morning so someone can pop the lenses in.)
I ended up buying two pairs of glasses as part of a two-for-one deal, for just under 350 dollars. They look good, I think: smaller frames, one silver-coloured and one steel-coloured.
It's a pity about the contact lenses. I was looking forward to being able to look into a mirror and see my face clearly and without lenses for the first time since I was 4.
