The depths of this stairwell on Ossington Avenue at Harrison Street, right about here, speaks about the amount of construction and in-fill on this stretch of Ossington. At one point, the stairwell was unnecessary, was impossible; at one point, the bottom of the staircase was level with the street, and the current street level corresponded to the third or so floor of the street's buildings as they were originally constructed.
