The Prince Edward Island town of Borden-Carleton has made its living from its location on the terminus for the major route onto Prince Edward Island, whether ferry or bridge. (The last time I saw Cape Tormentine, the old ferry terminus on the New Brunswick shore, the place was deserted.) The bridge was built away from the old road to the ferry, which now leads to a mere seafood processing plant.
