The English departmental coffee social for graduate students went quite strongly for the first hour. By the beginning of the second hour, it had gone dead as usual, thanks to the beginning of a graduate class. I went next door to chat briefly with a professor about my perspective on The Passion, then I popped back into the common room to find serod and heraclitus there.

We drank coffee the rest of a coffee before going over to Clark Hall for the beer festival and drinking there, parting in the end at around 7:30. It was great to finally meet these two gentlemen--the conversation was great, and we'll have to do it again. Oh, my best wishes for their nuptials.
