[NON BLOG] The Dorm Room
May. 4th, 2004 06:54 pmI got back from my trip to upstate New York and Toronto at 12 o'clock, disembarking from the train at Kingston station and splitting a cab with another graduate student also heading towards the downtown. More on this later.
Anyway, I have a dorm room, a new one. I shuttled everything I could over to the Graduate Residence, located squarely in the heart of the John Deutsch University Center in the very heart of campus, on Thursday afternoon, in two taxi trips. I was going to meet a friend that evening, to eat Cambodian and see Kill Bill, Vol. 2; so, I recruited that friend to help me move my desktop and everything else.
I still haven't spent a complete day in the Graduate Residence, so I can't offer anything conclusive. What I can say is that I do like it--it's ~50% wider, it has a private bathroom and a sink, and it's just fun to have!
