Living alone, in a city outside of your traditional areas, requires first the development then the deployment of a full set of life skills.

One thing that I've discovered, much to my dismay, is that you often don't know that many of these skills even exist beforehand, much less are necessary, or even that what you think is an adequate level is actually quite inadequate.
