• At the Glad Day Bookshop on Monday, Hervé Guibert's To the Friend Who Did Not Save My Life and Bret Easton Ellis' The Rules of Attraction.
  
• At Vortex Records on Tuesday, informed and inspired by talktooloose, I picked up three used CDs: Carole Pope's 1996 CD Radiate; Cyndi Lauper's 1996 Sisters of Avalon; and, the Pet Shop Boys' 1995 2-disc Alternative.


• At the Radio Shack in the Yonge-Eglinton Centre, a cheap pair of earphones, complete with three-year warranty allowing up to seven replacements over this period.


• At the Toronto Public Reference Library this evening, at a biannual sale, I picked up David Crystal's The Cambridge Encyclopedia of Language, the fifth and sixth volumes of Anais Nin's diaries in hardcover, and a copy of At Swim, Two Boys by Jamie O'Neill autographed by the author himself.
