A couple of weeks ago, I read an article in the weekend Toronto Star concerning the changing distribution of Toronto's GLBT population, with a central population in the Church-Wellesley neighbourhood and offshoots appearing in Queen Street West to the west and Riverdale to the east. More recently, I've found a second longer article in Fab, a free glossy magazine oriented towards Toronto's GLBT male population.

The articles are interesting. Among other things, I learn that my choice of residence might or might not make me a trendsetter. Perhaps this will be a precedent for me? I'll leave broader themes for others to discuss, though it's interesting that a critical threshold has been crossed to allow for such identifiable non-heterosexual communities to be noticed, so specifically and narrowly on a city-wide level.
